Northeastern Oregon Bicycle Tourism Studio

This tourism studio program was developed in response to the destination’s desire to develop high-quality bicycle tourism based on regional assets.

The Northeastern Oregon Bicycle Tourism Studio took place in 2015 and focused on communities of Northeastern Oregon, including La Grande.

Northeastern Oregon Bicycle Tourism Studio Key Outcomes:

  • 55 local tourism stakeholders and residents participated in a one-day workshop in October 2015 in La Grande. Workshop topics included Community Visioning, Local Asset Identification, Rural Tourism Marketing and Action Planning. Workshop notes, presentations, outreach materials and other resources are available on the Northeastern Oregon Bicycle Tourism Studio page.
  • The Northeastern Oregon community received a $5,000 Tourism Studio Matching Grant from Travel Oregon to develop the Bike It! map in 2017.
